Rema Webb
Founder & Executive Director
Rema leads On Broadway’s organizational strategy, fundraising, donor development, and external partnerships, with a commitment to a community where the performing arts are accessible, meaningful, and alive. Her work extends beyond the studio, building intergenerational and community-centered experiences that connect young performers with working artists and families from Harlem to neighborhoods across New York City, reducing isolation and ensuring the performing arts remain within reach. She works in close partnership with the Artistic Director to guide the organization with vision, purpose, and integrity.

Rema is a 28-year Broadway veteran and her mission is to pass on her knowledge, create a better learning environment and inspire the next generation of young artists.
She was most recently seen in Chicago as Matron "Mama" Morton. Broadway Credits Include: Hell's Kitchen, Fat Ham, The Music Man, Escape to Margaritaville, The Color Purple, Violet, The Book of Mormon, The Lion King and Ragtime. Off-Broadway & Regional Credits: Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, Disney’s Hercules, Unmasked, Footloose, Little Shop of Horrors, The Cradle Will Rock, The Colored Museum, A New Brain, You’re Standing In My Way: A New Song Cycle, Being Alive. Jessica K Mooney
Artistic Director
Jessica leads On Broadway's artistic vision, organizational voice, and creative strategy, shaping curriculum design, production, staff development, and the programs and communications that define the organization's public identity and the student experience. Her work is realized in both the artistic and organizational life of On Broadway, connecting the vision in the room to the infrastructure, voice, and strategy that sustain it, and ensuring that every student who walks through the door is seen, supported, and valued. She collaborates directly with the Executive Director to bring the organization's vision to life across programs, productions, and the community it serves.

Jessica began her career as a Stage Manager and found her passion for arts education and producing through her work with On Broadway. She came on board full time in 2019 to lead our growing organization alongside Rema.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Jessica has a background in technical theater, media and leadership, and holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Point Park University. Most notably, she spent years working Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater and on the currently running production of Little Shop of Horrors.
It is her personal calling to be of service to others, and as a former theater kid herself, Jessica is immensely grateful to be a part of an organization that is paving the way for modern performing arts education. She has two wonderful children of her own, the lights of her life, who get to see their Mama do work that she loves every day.

Brandon Martin
Head of Programs and Production
Brandon drives the execution of On Broadway's programs, productions, and fundraising events throughout the year, coordinating teaching artists, staff, and production logistics to ensure every student experience and community gathering is thoughtfully executed and professionally realized.

A proud Pittsburgh native turned Harlem resident, Brandon holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Point Park University. He spent the first years of his career touring the country as a stage manager and props stagehand. Since moving to New York, Brandon has worked backstage as a stagehand on Broadway for shows like Gypsy with Audra McDonald, The Notebook, and Here Lies Love. Joining the team at On Broadway is such a rewarding experience and he looks forward to helping the next generation of talented students reach their Broadway dreams.

Alex Nicholson
Managing Director
Alex oversees On Broadway's financial systems, budgeting, and operational infrastructure, ensuring the organization runs with fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability in service of its programs and community.

Alex has been a professional working actor for 10 years, spending the past three years with HAMILTON, covering Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, Mulligan/Madison, & King George III across three touring companies and Broadway. Other regional credits include Jersey Boys, Sister Act, and In The Heights, to name a few. He was first introduced to On Broadway working under Rema and Jessica for their 2019 summer program. He holds an Associates Degree in Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from SUNY ADK and is a proud alumni of Circle in The Square Theatre School’s musical theater program. @iamalexnicholson

Preston Mui
Head of Dance
Having grown up with a background as a dancer, singer and actor, performance and spectacle are not unfamiliar to Preston. His diverse and nearly 30 years on and beyond the stage have given him an in-depth experience in stagecraft and the performing arts. He grew up in San Francisco studying all aspects of performing; singing with the SF Boys' Chorus in his preteens, doing musicals with a youth musical theater company, punching and kicking with Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy and studying dance at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts High School. His childhood was an endless theater camp that has shaped the way he views life, the studio and the stage.
Preston's work spans across all media including, TV, film, 360 video and live stage. As a dancer, he has worked with some of the most iconic names in the industry; Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, John Legend, Chubby Checkers. This experience was a first hand look at the endless possibilities of stage production, creative direction, choreography and visual imagery. Preston's process allows the music to navigate the direction of the choices of movement and style which empowers and enables him to create a unique experience connecting what you hear, to what you see, to how you feel.

Kristofer Ryan Wilson
Head of Acting
Originally from Reidsville, North Carolina, Kristofer is an actor and playwright based in Brooklyn, and holds a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts having trained at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. During that time he fell in love with classical and heightened language. He rooted himself in the works of August Wilson, William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Lynn Nottage, Dominique Morriseau, and Sam Shepard all while discovering his capacity for serving & inhabiting the truth embedded within a story.
Kristofer’s plays are inspired by his hometown and places like it: small towns and simple people. Interested in the stories of the everyday man and how the surreal can be used to explore those walks of life.
After his junior year, he made his professional debut at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, and has been working professionally ever since! He aspires to tell stories of the black experience and make space for black voices in classical material.
When not on stage, you can catch Kristofer writing poetry, reading James Baldwin’s oeuvre, hitting the gym, or cooking up southern delicacies for his friends.

Michael Fernandes
Head of Voice
Michael is an experienced music educator and director of the Nassau-Suffolk Academy of Music on Long Island. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Syracuse University, where he developed a strong foundation in research-based, student-centered instruction.
Throughout his career, Michael has built and led numerous music and arts programs across New York. His work centers on designing strong instructional systems and nurturing positive musical experiences for all students.
In 2022, he earned his Master’s in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, further strengthening his dedication to high-quality music education.

Madyson Jean
Associate Dance Teacher
A New York–based actress, singer, and dancer celebrated for her versatility, emotional depth, and magnetic stage presence. A graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School’s vocal program, she has trained intensively in acting, voice, and a wide range of dance styles through the On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program and TKO Dance Academy.
Madyson has appeared in numerous theatrical productions and live performances at renowned venues that include Carnegie Hall and 54 Below, along with work in film, commercial modeling, and competitive dance. With a strong technical foundation and a passion for storytelling, she brings authenticity, energy, and artistry to every project she steps into.

Elizabeth O'Toole
Associate Acting Teacher
Originally from South Florida, Elizabeth is completing her BFA in Drama at New York University in the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
She is the president and founder of Silence is Loud, a not for profit organization with the mission to develop and implement content to educate and support wellness.
Elizabeth has taught actors of all ages for years in South Florida and those experiences have given her a passion to see every artist reach their full potential as they implement wellness and emotional regulation through the creative process.
Originally from South Florida, Elizabeth is completing her BFA in Drama at New York University in the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

Michael believes the music journey is super fun and exciting and he would love to be your guide! A graduate from Five Towns College with a Bachelor in Music Performance, Michael has played hundreds of gigs, and taught a multitude of students. All of which have molded him into the passionate musician and music educator that he is today. Michael teaches his classes with fun repertoire, engaging conversations about music theory, and fun games designed to make the hard work not feel so hard. He is devoted to making music accessible to people of all ages and walks of life and can’t wait to walk this journey with you.

Lindsay Surmacz
Social Media & Content Manager
Lindsay manages On Broadway's digital presence and content systems, building consistent, mission-aligned storytelling and online engagement to amplify the organization's programs, students, and community reach.

Lindsay is a Pittsburgh based multidisciplinary performer, writer, and digital marketing specialist whose practice blends storytelling, movement, and content strategy…with circus flair. Her specialties include content strategy, SEO, email marketing, campaign management, and cross-functional project leadership.
Lindsay has worked in the performing arts - both on stage and off - since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush and holds a degree in Creative Writing from Purdue University. She has spent the last 16 years developing unique learning experiences in science education for young audiences and is the founder of Cirque Jag Productions: Part creative studio, part marketing project integrating various performance production techniques into a vehicle for cultural, educational, and economic vitality.
